I love me a good chicken meal like I am sure many of us do, but just because you’re trying to diet doesn’t mean you need to skimp on one of the best things ever- yes, chicken. Chicken is one of the best proteins to use in healthy cooking because it’s low in fat and calories, as compared to red meat. It’s also easier for the body to digest chicken in most cases.

In this episode, she shows that with tomatoes, onions, some garlic and spinach with chicken of course, you can make a great chicken meal.
Choosing boneless, skinless chicken breasts would make for the leanest option. As a dieter, you can buy the breasts boneless or without skin, or purchase as normal but making sure to cut of the fat and skin before cooking.
HEALTHY OPTIONS FOR PREPARING CHICKEN
Grilling is the best method of cooking chicken; this includes, a BBQ grill or indoors in the oven broiler. A squeeze of lemon, a sprinkling of black pepper in addition to basic preparation will make your chicken a delicious meal you will enjoy.
Most people think that boiling chicken will make it tasteless; on the contrary it makes it really tender and just as tasty as the way you spice or cook it. The secret is right in the amount of the water used to cook the chicken.
Make time to marinade the chicken overnight so that you can enjoy the baked outcome. Add some tasty baby potatoes around the chicken so that they absorb the juices for a complete meal and serve with a salad of steamed vegetables.
Only a minimum amount of oil is needed in a skillet on the pan to prevent the chicken from sticking. It is necessary to slice it into small pieces so that it cooks through faster. Just imagine what flavors you can create with diced carrots, bell peppers, garlic and other vegetables added to the stir fry.
Steaming food allows it to retain all its nutrients; therefore steaming your chicken with your veggies will provide a nourishing meal. When choosing chicken for steaming, make sure that it is young so that it is not tough and rubbery when done.
